Stripe’s Global availability page lists 51 countries and regions. For 44 of them, clicking through opens a Stripe sign-up form. For two, India and Indonesia, it opens a form to contact Stripe’s sales team, and both carry the label Preview.
The other five, all in Africa, are labelled Extended network and link to Paystack: Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
Indonesia’s five years in preview
HaiPay read the page in 75 archived copies since January 2020. Thirteen markets have carried a Preview or similar label in that time. Ten lost it within 21 months, most within a few. India took more than three years.
The Philippines was labelled from early 2021 and dropped from the page by April 2023. Indonesia first appears in September 2021 and has never been listed without a label: Preview, then Invite only from 2023, then Preview again from November 2024.

India went back
India is the one market to lose full listing. It was labelled Preview in every copy until February 2023 and appeared without a label from March 2023. In June 2024 its link switched from Stripe’s sign-up form to contact sales, labelled Invite only, and since November 2024 it has been labelled Preview again.
The Reserve Bank of India’s records show Stripe India holding a licence as an online payment aggregator since January 2024, and its application to be a cross-border payment aggregator withdrawn on 12 July 2024.

Why this matters
For online merchants in India and Indonesia, the page means signing up with Stripe is a sales conversation rather than a form. For the five African markets, Stripe points businesses to Paystack instead.
What this does not show
Stripe does not define its labels on the page or say which services a Preview market gets, so they describe how a business gets in, not what it can do once there. Dates come from archived copies taken about once a month. HaiPay did not contact Stripe.
What to watch
Whether Indonesia, the longest-running preview, moves to a sign-up form.
Whether India’s link changes back.
And whether Stripe adds markets to the page; the count has stood at 51 since May 2025.

Methodology and limitations
Compiled by HaiPay on 22 October 2026 from Stripe’s Global availability page (stripe.com/global), read live and in 81 Internet Archive captures from 3 January 2020 to 2 October 2026, roughly one a month; 75 captures could be read and six could not. For each capture HaiPay recorded every country or region listed, the label shown beside it (Preview, Invite only, Request an invite or Extended network) and, from 2024, the address its entry links to. On the live page, 51 countries and regions are listed: 44 link to a Stripe sign-up form, five labelled Extended network (Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa) link to pages on paystack.com, and two labelled Preview (India and Indonesia) link to Stripe’s contact-sales page. Thirteen markets have carried a Preview, Invite only or Request an invite label since January 2020. Ten later appeared without a label after between about one and 21 months: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Croatia, Brazil, Gibraltar and Liechtenstein; India did so in March 2023, after more than three years. The Philippines was labelled from February 2021 and dropped from the page by April 2023. Indonesia has been labelled since it first appears, in September 2021. India was labelled Preview from the earliest capture to February 2023, appeared without a label from March 2023, was labelled Invite only with a contact-sales link from June 2024 and Preview from November 2024. Durations are measured between captures and are approximate. Separately, the Reserve Bank of India’s records list Stripe India Private Limited as authorised as an online payment aggregator from 15 January 2024 and record its application to be a cross-border payment aggregator as withdrawn on 12 July 2024; HaiPay draws no link between those records and Stripe’s labels. The page does not define its labels or say what services are available in each market. HaiPay did not contact Stripe.
Data note

Of 13 markets labelled since 2020, ten lost the label within 21 months; India took more than three years and returned to Invite only in June 2024; the Philippines was dropped; Indonesia has been labelled since September 2021. Durations are between captures.
